Family Harmony
I find that getting together with family can be Lovely and yet a little challenging. Family usually has roles for each member and that is how we react to each other.These roles we played in the family follow us through the years,it doesn’t seem to matter that we have grown up into adults and have let go of those roles for many years.And sometimes we fall back into those roles like a comfortable pair of shoes,not even realizing that it is keeping us from having a strong,healthy relationships with our loved ones.I know that I am wanting to cultivate strong and healthy relationships with all my family,so here are a few tips to keep your visits full of Love and Harmony.
1.Stay in the Present….Keep conversations about what you are doing now,what they are doing now and minimal happy memories from the past.
2. Apologize or excuse yourself if you say something that could be taken as a jab.
3.Breathe before reacting….if a jab is throw to you…….Breathe and let them know you felt there was a jab or hurtful comment
4.Be Honest about your feelings in a calm peaceful and loving way.
